elitefitrea (US) Alternative | Post-Industrial | Rock Downtempo
Pronounced [e-LEET fi-TREE-uh], the group is an alternative post-industrial project by US musician Bryan Day, a former prison inmate and marine (you read that right!). Bryan has led an unusual life that has taken him from the Marine Corps to Pacifism, and from prison to creative freedom. Trained in multiple instruments, Bryan enjoys blending synthetic and organic sounds to produce atmospheric soundscapes. To this, he then adds his own inimitable vocals. The results are the music of elitefitrea, an experiential journey into the psyche, the human shadow, and the inner underworlds of everyday experience.
Now with recent recruits Christopher and Colin, elitefitrea are gearing up with their debut album Lethe which will be released via Sliptrick Records later in the year. Lethe shows the group in all it’s viscerous potential drawing from a wide range of influences including Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead, Boards of Canada, Goldfrapp and Pantera. A cornucopia of sounds indeed!
