Heat Of Damage’s lyrics video for Siegfried’s Last Bow takes viewers on a journey more than 100 years into the past. The video is a compilation of incredible, authentic footage from the First World War, permeated by the song’s lyrics in a classic font reminiscent of old typewriters. Writing the song, the band drew inspiration from the song’s namesake: Siegfried Sassoon, an English poet who fought in the war. Sassoon’s dark and vivid poetry captures the horrors of the war, and Heat Of Damage’s lyrics, combined with shocking visuals captured in one of humanity’s most dire times, make the video a captivating and immersive experience.
