Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week:
Zwaremachine (US) Electronic | Industrial | EBM | Darkwave
Minneapolis group Zwaremachine is the outlet of visual artist Mach Fox. Influences from some of the top acts of the genres can be heard in the songs from Be A Light, the first full length album released in 2018. With a clear focus on classic sounds and modern production Mach describes the style for the album as “Minimal Hypnotic Industrial Body Music”.
With an eerie hum Zwaremachine embraces early ebm/industrial soundscapes while keeping a persistent dark-wave experimental approach. Thoroughly deranged, Zwaremachine will trash your sense of disbelief a minute into the first song and continue to do so all the way through. After touring in the USA and two successful European tours in 2019, the band finished the year with a performance at the Autumn Moon festival (DE) in October. With the addition of Dutch drummer Dein Offizier and the aggressive live bass of D-bot, the band found a perfect way to present their music on stage.
In August 2019, the group released special remixes of Remain Unseen. The remix of Swedish producer Planktoon (who the band worked with before) was received very well by the audience, DJ’s and radio broadcasters. This remix is in a way the reason why Zwaremachine wanted to re-release their album Be A Light to a larger audience with additional tracks and bonus remixes. Zwaremachine will release the album via Sliptrick Records later in the year.
