The debut EP by Crowdown, Horizon, is raw and unflinchingly brutal with every shout and thrash of guitar accompanied by growling bass encapsulating the dark side of human emotions that weave together a story of rage, loss and despair.
The EP was recorded and mixed at Grindlab Studios in Vienna, Austria, with Harry Gandler (guitarist of Mastic Scum) and mastered by Patrick W. Engel (who also Produced Heaven Shall Burn from 2000 – 2010) at the Temple of Disharmony Studio located in Bamberg, Germany. Their combined experience and expertise moving Horizon into a whole other depth of sound.
Crowdown’s blend of hardcore and metal creates an EP with unrelenting energy characterised by destructive breakdowns, savage drums and aggressive vocals. But, despite the undercurrent of rage that simmers to a boil in each song, Horizon is still heavily rooted within the hardcore genre.
So, turn the volume up and prepare for the Horizon to turn black like a swarm of crows as Crowdown invite you to their gloomy and unforgiving world.
